Résumé du livre

Previous studies have shown that electrical fields give rise to the phenomena of spontaneous charge release and absorption in pressure transducers having ferroelectric ceramic elements. This note reports on the effects of electrical fields on pressure transducers with quartz and tourmaline elements. Here a base-line shift occurs, which is similar to that observed with the ceramic element guages. The results are somewhat inconsistent, and there is a tendency for charge absorption to occur regardless of the polarity of the disturbing field.
