Gun Tools, Their History and Identification, Vol. 2, is the result of the success and acclaim for Volume 1 of the same title and came as an outpouring of previously undocumented or little-known tools in private and public collections in the U.S., Great Britain and Europe. Volume 2 of Gun Tools offers the collector, historian, museum and archaeologist over 800 new photos spanning nearly 400 years of gun tools. Volume 2 addresses all of the many categories of gun tools covered in Volume 1 and addresses several new categories such as loading aids, aiming and optical devices, artillery fuze setters and cleaning aids. Many Confederate pieces are also shown for the first time as well as treasures form H.M.Tower of London, Imperial War Museum and pattern Room Collections. Volume 2 is a major and exciting expansion of our knowledge of the fascinating subject of gun tools and its coverage duplicates none of the tools covered in Volume 1.
