Résumé du livre
The sheep ked (Melophagus ovinus, sometimes misnamed the sheep tick) is a wingless, blood-sucking fly that lives in the fleece of sheep. Keds cause reduced weight gains in lambs and reduced wool growth in all sheep, and ked debris in wool account for 5-10% shrinkage in greasy wool. This bulletin provides information on the life history & abundance of the sheep ked, the economic importance of this pest, and methods used for control of sheep keds including spraying, dipping, and dusting.
