Cartons contain correspondence, programs, and publications related to Parson's life and career. Chronological arrangement. Boxes 2-3 contain journals and diaries with dated entries (1884-1911) of Parsons and other persons including his wife, and a Presbyterian minister, former attorney H.A.[Horace Allen] Mayhew of Sacremento, Calif. Many of Mayhew's journals begin with detailed weather observations. Volume 1 is a scrapbook filled with clippings and ephemera from Parson's life. Volumes 2-3 [before 1830?] are by an unknown author and contain numbered entries of aphorisms on numerous topics related to religion and moral living. Volume 2 also includes a subject and author index to the numbered entries.
