The study area encompasses about 1100 square kilometres in a northwest trending belt 90 kilometres long and 15 kilometres wide. The town of Smithers, 270 kilometres to the south, is the principle centre of commerce and supplies for mining companies working within the study area. This report describes the regional geology, details the geology of the Toodoggone Formation, the depositional environment, and mineral deposits. Major element analytical procedures, potassium-argon analytical procedures, and fossel identification are included.
