Résumé du livre

A brief biography of corsair Svigaraicipi, a very successful privateer for the French Government who died while protecting fishermen returing home to France from Newfoundland . Howley had previously written an article on several tombstones in Placentia, one of which was identified as belonging to Svigaraicipi. Because the tombstone was so elaborate, Howley thought the man for whom it was erected must have been of marked importance, and decided to do further research to uncover the story of his life.
