Résumé du livre
Describes a pilot study conducted to study cases and control subjects relating to four tumour types: soft tissue sarcoma, lymphoma, non-Hodgkin's lymphoma, and multiple myeloma. The cases were examined to investigate the relation between pesticide exposure and health. Study objectives included validation of the study questionnaires, determination of the proportion of cases that could be interviewed live, ascertaining the suitability of a technique for obtaining control subjects, and determination of the retrieval time between case diagnosis and the interview process. Data collected using the study questionnaire are summarized and a copy of the questionnaire is included. The final section describes a pilot series of seminars on the safe management of chemicals for farmers.
