Résumé du livre

This is a story about the life of a young girl and the many dangers that came her way, a story that could have been written by Robert Louis Stevenson.
This story recounts the first eighteen years of my life. Imagine terrifying hurricanes, boats exploding, swimming with sharks, avoiding Spanish gunboats and most of all hawking Balata figurines to lascivious sailors in order to eat!
The story begins with my first year in France and the advent of the Nazi invasion, my early childhood transported me from France to the Devils Islands to the beautiful island of Martinique. The reader will partake in my early adventurous life and visualize the life of a young girl growing up in a world that was harsh, cruel but at the same time like no other.
