Résumé du livre
Statistics and Research are two concepts, constantly used, sometimes, as different from one another; at other times, both are treated as synonomous with each other. This is done in Research & Research studies, conducted by Individual, pursuing a Ph.D or conducting a survey for that purpose to collective research/studies, leading to central & State/Regional reports by the State or regions concerned; It was also the view in Project studies or reports by Big Corporate companies like Larsen & Toubro, Unilever Inc, Google, Reliance, the Tatas and the like.
Therefore the. main aim of writing this book is prelocate the true role of statistics, Statistical tools - Techniques, in the singular sense, more accurately, the need and relevance of basic statistical Tools &Techniques, both basic to advanced ones, in the setting of a young Individual Researcher;
The ideas developed in the different chapters, are taken from Eminent writers, like Dr. C.R. Kothari, standard authors in the field of research methodology like Dr. S S Pandey & Dr. Meenu Pandey & Dr. Shanthi bhusan Mishra & Dr. Shanthi Ashok and others, in the Research Gate., and we endeavour, to produce an abridged version of research methods, mostly theoretical & empirical examples, a Handbook on RESEARCH METHODS, written in simple, readable language from basics to Advanced statistical tools - from the Mean & Variances to advanced statistical tools like correkation to regression and finally to Multi variate Regression .
The latter chapters from chapter 2 opens on review of different research types & Designs, Types of Sampling, & sample designs, and Methods of Data collection &Various Tools of data Analysis. Multiple Regression, multi discriminant Analysis (M.D.A) and, multi Variate analysis of Variance, namely the Multi Anova Techniques.
Finally, the last two chapters ,deals with Parametric Testing of chosen Hypothesis & also Non Parametric Tests of hypothesids when the date is not continuous or is of qualitative or experimental in nature, and therefore must be judiciously used in basic Field research studies;
The Handbook on Research Studies concludes that interval testing estimation studies - much simpler direct techniques like the, Mean& Variances e And multi Variate analysis is more suitable, and can be a better Standard Techniques to analyse Variables of an effective field study at the village level for an individual researcher.
The handbook is a abridged version of Standard Statistical Techniques, as gleaned from. These Standard authors. We hope that this will serve, as a Hand book for any young researcher to study the field for his chosen purpose and also for those preparing for competitive Exams
