He details a typical day as a United States (U.S.) Army soldier on the front lines and the troubles of winter warfare. He says that Korean Augmentation to the United States Army (KATUSA.) Soldiers were good but some "ready to retreat." He describes the enemy soldiers as dedicated, not well-trained, and not liking to work long hours. Some of the enemy's weapons were crude.
