Résumé du livre
This photography book presents the last of its kind, a pre-Civil War era mansion in Pennsylvania's Allegheny Mountains. Noon-Collins was once the home of the region's most accomplished families. Completed in 1834, the residence has survived a fascinating journey to its place on the National Register of Historic Places. Eventually, the Federal style building with dressed-stone corners was converted to a YMCA with bowling lanes and gymnasium. In time, the living room served as town library. The building had been abandoned for seven years when Lewis and Jeanette bought and restored the property to the charming Bed and Breakfast that taught lovely lessons about grace and endurance over a Saint Patrick's Day weekend. Evocative photography is accompanied by building descriptions, historic information and inspirations.
