The objective of this study was to determine if weathered Alaska North Slope crude oil would be phototoxic to juvenile pink salmon under spill conditions and under relevant natural levels of ultraviolet radiation. Test 1, fish were exposed to several water concentrations of oil followed by exposure to sunlight in ultraviolet radiation in clean water. In Test 2, a single high oil concentration was evaluated with sunlight UV exposure during the oil exposure.
