Sophal Leng was nine years old when she and her family were forced to leave their home in Phenom Penh in April of 1975, joining the multitude of Cambodians who were dragged through hell by the brutal regime of the Khmer Rouge. Leng, despite all the odds, survived and was able to tell the authors her story recounting the unimaginable pain, suffering, starvation and disease that she miraculously endured.
