The Poems of Grace Stevens

Unpublished during her lifetime, Stevens authored these poems between the years of 1961 - 1984, writing about her life as a mother of four, and as a devout Catholic questioning her faith. They were found in a suitcase filled with her work years later. The work represented in this volume appeared in many different variations within that suitcase, typed on a manual typewriter, polished over and over again, much like river stones. Nearly 20 years after her death, Grace Stevens' poetry is now available.
