Claude Wray Ivey was born 31 March 1912 in Atlanta, Georgia. His parents were Frederick Washington Ivey, Sr. (1888-1946) and Josie Vandora Pool. He married Kathleen May, daughter of, Andrew Steven May and Rosa Kitchens, in about 1933. Ancestors, descendants and relatives lived mainly in Georgia, Virginia, North Carolina, England and France.
