Résumé du livre
Abstract: The presence of foreign banks in Russia is the subject of recent discussion. It is widely accepted that Russian banks have yet not been able to provide the necessary array of financial services required to support Russia's emerging economy. Foreign banks have the necessary infrastructure and size to fill this gap. Nearly twenty years after the transition from a centrally planned economy to a market economy, foreign banks are beginning to develop strategies to enter the Russian market. This paper examines some successful entry strategies of foreign companies into Russia by considering the political, legal and economic landscape as well as the careful examination of case studies of foreign companies which have successfully entered the Russian market.
