A collection of paintings by Brian Cooper made from 2019-2020. The paintings are a surreal family portrait where shapes of black, white, and brown skin form intimate writhing masses of assimilation. They playfully support and adjust to one another bending and shaping themselves to fit in. They jockey for position while beads of sweat show signs of stress and exertion. They are part orgy and part wrestling match.
