Research paper examining effects of immigration (primarily internal migration from mainland USA) on unemployment rates in Hawaii - using 1975 census data finds that unemployment rates were highest for youth, women, single persons, those with less than high school educational level, manual workers and persons recently migrated to Hawaii, and that among ethnic groups, Hawaiians had the highest rates.
