Provides information for educators and others to help families on a tight budget prepare foods for a healthful diet. Two sample meal plans, tips for nutritious meals at minimal cost, and a resource list for additional information are included. Each meal plan consists of a weekly menu, 20 laboratory-tested recipes, and a food list. Each daily menu consists of three meals (breakfast, lunch, and dinner) and usually a snack.
