Rufus and Lily: The letters, lives, and lineages of Rufus Blandford and Lillian Burkhardt is a family history book. Volume 1 reveals Blandford and Silcock family stories using World War I correspondence, love letters, photographs, memorabilia, and genealogical research. Settings include France during World War I; Bexar County, Texas; and Dorset, Hampshire, and Lancashire, England. Seven Blandford generations and five Silcock generations are carefully documented. The book also includes "A History of Boldtville Community" by Lillian E. Moore that expands the story of Rufus and Lily to include friends, neighbors, and cultural institutions.
