This collection consists of correspondence, legal documents, reports, notes, speeches, and subject files collected or created by Linda Minich from the Montana Power Company (MPC) and NorthWestern Energy (NWE), both of which employed her at one time or another, as well as from the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers union, of which she was a member. There is a small subgroup of Minich's personal papers that consist of subject files (1989-2000) related to her career, earnings, and retirement. Another small subgroup with material from the IBEW union include subject files (1990-1998) on work shift negotiations, IBEW elections, and memos on flex leave, negotiations between the IBEW and MPC and pension plans. The MPC subgroup includes correspondence of memos and emails from management to its employees, a legal document on sick and disability pay, reports included (1984-1998) are on community relations, employee opinion, and company profits. Subject files make up a large portion of this subgroup and cover a wide variety of topics (1981-2003). Documents in the miscellaneous series include the MPC Equal Opportunity Employment Policy, Employee Opinion Result, and other items. The final subgroup, NorthWestern Energy, includes one legal document of the merger of NWE and Babcock and Brown Infrastructure (2007), one report of the NWE pension plan (1998), and an assortment of subject files (2001-2010). Many of the files were created by Linda. The titles and the content of these files have been retained in the collection.
