It is a characteristic weakness of human nature to pass some form of judgement, no matter how generalized, on things we encounter, even when our encounters are restricted to nothing more than a measured portion of the "whole". We are not as methodical as we like to believe and much of our factual existance is filled with decisions based on one form of generality or another. This situation exists in the relationship between the maneuver company and its direct support artillery unit.
