Résumé du livre

This report is based on a review of existing literature and on surveys of Aboriginal people living with HIV/AIDS (APHA) their service providers. The report examines housing issues and the residential facilities & services available to homeless & low-income APHA in urban centres and identifies gaps in services & appropriate services for that population. Findings are presented first for major metropolitan centres, then for smaller metropolitan centres. Issues discussed include the under-utilization of mainstream HIV/AIDS services by APHA, limited housing options for APHA, limited Aboriginal-specific facilities & services, and the need for culturally appropriate services. Copies of the survey questionnaires are appended.
