In 19 lessons, students learn about art production, art history, art criticism, and aesthetics. The first five lessons cover ways to talk about and evaluate art, the relationship between art and culture, and principles of design and composition. The remainder of the book focuses on different production methods, ranging from collage and grid drawing to printmaking and papier-mache.
