"Rescue those doomed to die." First, who are they, and second, why should I? John Cavanaugh-O'Keefe explains why he and others launched a campaign of pro-life nonviolence. He begins with a common sense approach: unborn children and women facing an unexpected and unwelcome pregnancy need help, and decent people will offer that help. He includes the reasons from history for a specifically nonviolent approach, imitating Gandhi and King and Lech Walesa and Corazon Aquino. He also explains how the teaching of the Catholic Church supports nonviolent action to protect women and children.
