A poisonous, living Web surrounds the Norwegian village of Tuntre, keeping the residents isolated and terrified. The web-shaped scar on Ingrid Hansen's face is a constant reminder of the threat they face, leaving her ostracized and feared. As high school nears its end, and a future as miserable as her past lays before her, a mysterious journal appears that is written to Ingrid specifically. The strange diary states that Ingrid is the origin of the Web - and she alone can set her town free.
