The Corrales Writing Group began in 2012, publishing its first anthology in 2013. Passages is the fourth book the six-member group has produced. Every year the group's anthologies have won recognition from organizations such as the New Mexico-Arizona Book Awards, the New Mexico Press Women Association and the Military Writers Society of America. Individual stories have also won awards, and have been accepted for publication in magazines and other anthologies. Passages demonstrates the versatility of the group, presenting essays, memoir, fiction, and humor. Some may be thought-provoking, some may spark laughter, and some may resonate by sharing aspects of the human experience. Enjoy!The group meets twice monthly to review members' submissions in a supportive, friendly, setting. Authors receive productive comments ranging from what works well in a piece to what is confusing to the reader. The varied backgrounds of the members add insights authors can use to improve their compositions.
