John Detlev Hauberg was born 29 January 1808. His wife was born 26 July, 1811. In April 1853 they moved from Moline, Rock Island County, Illinois to Coe Township also located in Rock Island County, settling in what was know as Sugar Grove. John died 24 March 1886. His wife died 10 October 1896. Descendants lived in Illinois and elsewhere.
