A small group of papers accumulated by Kennelly relating to the formation of the Democratic Labor Party following a split from the Australian Labor Party (ALP). There is correspondence including with J. Schmela (Federal Secretary of the ALP) and from representatives of various councils and trade unions and reports and minutes of meetings of the Federal Executive of the ALP. Other papers include the transcript of evidence given by J.V. Stout in the related court case in the Supreme Court of Melbourne in October 1960, a 1954 petition from workers employed at the Casula Power House and a voting sheet listing candidates for "Militant Labor" (1954).
