Résumé du livre
Presents a brief biography of the Swiss draftsman Rudolf Meyer (1605-1638) along with a study of his drawing technique and a catalogue raisonné of his work. The catalog includes 489 authenticated drawings and 158 works, listed by location, erroneously ascribed to the artist. Appendices provide addenda to Hans-Jakob von Matt's catalog of Meyer's etchings as well as lists of his paintings, lost drawings, historical sources, signatures and monograms, and drawings dated by the artist himself. The numerous black and white illustrations in the catalog are enhanced by 37 plates in large format.
