This story is about a young couple aged 30, who needed to make many adjustments in their personal and professional lives, after Josh became completely deaf all of a sudden. The cause was a mystery to the medical world for many years. They each learned how to cope under new conditions and to utilize special equipment, along with Sign Language, while they had several loving experiences throughout their adult years. There is some humor in their lives, also. The mystery is eventually solved during the final years of Lisa's life. Les Browns was born in 1924 in a small town in Vermont. He has a degree in Sociology/Psychology from Antioch College. Before retirement, his professional work was in the field of Vocational Rehabilitation of handicapped individuals, including client counseling; psychiatric social work; drafting Federal Regulations, and program administration. He published a book in 2011 concerning the history of Alcoholics Anonymous. He now lives in Colorado Springs, Colorado near the famous "Pikes Peak" mountain.
