Five letters written between August 26, 1901 and December 19, 1901. In the first letter dated August 26, 1901, Whitman inquires about the promised copies of the "September number of the Home Journal with first installment of the Alcott letters ..." In subsequent letters, he acknowledges the return of "the Laurie picture," thanks Bok for forwarding letters from readers, asks for his copies of the October number, proposes a "tasty souvenir sheet" advertising the Letters, asks all letters from readers be sent to him, and inquires about the souvenir cards and envelopes.
