Résumé du livre

August, 1980. Natchez, Mississippi. An Aryan brotherhood of bikers, a lone gunman and what he calls the hydra snake. Virgil McGraw is a violent cynical drifter found guilty of the murder of 23 men on one hot Mississippi night. In custody, Virgil reveals the deep dark secrets of corruption and totalitarianism throughout the state and as the police unearth the personal and professional secrets of those involved within and outside the law, both come to realise the world isn't what they were told it was. Into the blind world we have descended. Humans have always been more effective at killing than any other living thing on earth and fear of death is the only thing stopping them. A full-length play that delves into the murky world of morality and murder in the Deep South. Intended for the stage, the play can be enjoyed as a short novel. Overtones of nihilism and the infernal layer this crime drama about a string of murders told through the spiritual embodiment of Virgil the Roman poet.
