Hittorff; attaches importance to good professional relations between France and England; hopes Donaldson had a successful visit to the [Middle] East; had learnt a lot from Donaldson's work on medieval architecture in Italy and would like to show him his own designs should he come to Paris; asks if it is likely that his work would be exhibited in London; intends to spend the winter of 1869 in Italy, mostly in Rome, and hopes that Donaldson would visit him there.
