Field notes Vol. 429 documents Howard Samuel Irwin's botanical collecting in Brazil in 1966 on a New York Botanical Garden expedition, with co-collectors including R. Reis dos Santos, R. Souza, and J.W. Grear. Specimens were collected as part of the Planalto do Brasil project, with most locations in the cerrados of Distrito Federal, Goiás, Mato Grosso, and Minas Gerais. The notebook contains a list of specimen numbers 11888-15914, collected January 21-May 18, 1966. The list contains specimen number, number of sheets, field identification, description, frequency, and herbarium determination. Collection locations and dates are also noted. Many of Irwin's original field notes are located in Field notes Vol. 341.
