Résumé du livre

Abstract: "We identify two different but important groups of composite objects which behave differently with respect to the question 'when do changes in a component object propagate to the composite object in which it is contained?'. We describe and define these two different types of composite objects. We also describe constraints in the form of synchronization rules which can be applied to the composite objects in a database setting, to ensure that they exhibit the behavior described. These constraints form the basis for providing support to enforce that composite objects are maintained in a consistent form when the database changes over time."
