Timaru At Last! is the title of both the exhibition and the book, taken from a diary entry by JT Morris, one of the immigrants who arrived on the ship in January 1859. The 176-page book was written by local genealogist and historian Alan McKenzie, who has spent more than three years researching the lives of the immigrants and has produced a detailed account of the voyage, along with biographical notes about the migrants.
