Response of Nesting Sea Turtles to Tilling of Compacted Beaches, Jupiter Island, Florida

The purpose of this study was to examine nest establishment and hatching success of nests of sea turtles in a compacted, nourished beach which has been tilled to decrease sand compaction. This study demonstrates the effectiveness of tilling at a full scale commercial level and the response of nesting turtles to the tilled beach.
