Assorted Christmas Cookies tells the story of how an adult's heart can be transformed while sitting alone, reflecting on the community's support and love towards one another. Mr. Whittlebaugher is hard-hearted, but while sitting in the solitude and glancing back and forth at the cookies that Brandon, a sweet child has brought to him., he begins to ponder on his actions. At that point, he realizes that not only are the cookies beautiful and quite delectable, but he begins to feel that he is not the humanitarian that he hoped to be.
