Pretend play is one of the simplest forms of entertainment, is vital to a child's learning, and can help them to identify their passions in life.Lexi spends many hours alone, so she collects play things, and stores them underneath the stairs. When she plays, she can imagine anything she likes and pretends to do and be just that. Some days she dresses up in some of her mother's old clothes. With her dolls and her dog and cat, she entertains herself in many ways. On play days, her friends and cousins come to spend the afternoons, and they learn to share and play in unison.
