THE BRITISH AGENT is a book about a woman's courage to do something when everything is against her. She brings attention to herself when all she wanted to do was to curl up in a ball and forget the evil world that surrounded her. She is recruited by Military Intelligence to send false messages to the enemy at a time of war and to liaise with German spies in Britain. This was so successful that both the enemy and the British spies held her in high esteem. It also tells how she built a new life for herself and all the people that she came to love and trust.
