Presidential addresses of one of the largest philosophical societies in the world and the only American philosophical society not devoted to a particular school or philosophical approach. Volume 5 covers the years 1941-1950. The addresses in this decade were fewer because of WWII. Among its works is that of Hans Reichenbach, who fled Nazi Germany. The volume containing biographies and photographs of the APA presidents, a list of birthplaces, chronology of the APA, a list of universities and colleges closely associated with each president, and name and subject indices.
