Abstract: "Parallel two-stage multisplitting methods with overlap for the solution of linear systems of algebraic equations are studied. It is shown that, under certain hypothesis, the method with overlap, is asymptotically faster than that without overlap. Experiments illustrating this phenonenon are presented."
