Résumé du livre
Previous research has found that family relocation exacerbates economic inequality between male and female partners. This paper investigates this further, with a study of the impact of relocation on wellbeing and earnings using data from the Household, Income and Labour Dynamics in Australia (HILDA) Survey. The impact of internal relocation is compared by gender, relationship status, and whether the move was work-related. To generalise the findings, "when people migrate, women become happier and men become richer."
