The book chronicles the journey of Pat Nolan from Minority Leader of the California State Assembly to President of Justice Fellowship, the public policy division of Prison Fellowship. Along the way he confronts radical leaders of the 60s, the California political machine and an out-of-control FBI investigation. In the process, Nolan's religious and political perspectives are transformed into compassionate conservatism and a faith in the ever-present activity of God in our lives.
