Résumé du livre
"First edition of this extremely rare and confidential catalog of an exhibition in Brussels (March 5 - April 15, 1974). Edition of 300 numbered copies (+ 25 out of trade), this one n°182. Radical preface-manifesto "Les Visionneurs", original text by Jouffroy, accompanied by "L'Actualisme" (1967) with twelve original serigraphs, the cover plate and one for each artist, inserted in eleven folded sheets (4 p.) forming a folder, each with a presentation text and a biography of the artist: Adami, Aillaud, Delcol, Erro, Fromanger, Klasen, Monory, Rancillac, Recalcati, Roux, Stämpfli. Texts by Jouffroy, J. Collard, J.P. Van Tieghem - "Just as the Objecteurs escaped the fashion of Pop, the fashion of New Realism, the Visionneurs escaped the fashion of Hyperrealism, Photo-realism, etc.". Or, to put it even more simply: the Hyperrealists are machines for repainting photography, while the Viewers are painters of a new type, who use photography to make painting ADVANCE in the field of reality." -- Solstices, viewed April 20, 2021
