Describes analytical methods and presents results of gas chromatographic and mass spectroscopic analyses of the organic components of municipal and industrial effluents discharged into the northern Alberta river basins, 1989-94. The bulk of the report consists of analytical data (tables and chromatograms), mainly of pulp mill effluents. Trends in effluent concentrations over time are discussed with reference to improvements in effluent quality.
