This history of the Whittaker Family of Utah that emigrated from Lancashire, England in 1851 was complied by Rodney Garth Dalton. He is the great-grandson of Charlotte Ellen "Nellie" Whittaker of the Whittaker family of Circleville, Piute Co. Utah. She married Martin Carrell Dalton Sr. of the Circleville Dalton family. Rodney G. Dalton was born in Circleville on April 3rd, 1938 to Garth C. Dalton & Edith Fox. This undertaking of the Whittaker history is meant to put together all of the Whittaker history that is found in many forms and in many Whittaker & Dalton families records & books. Thanks to the great help of Arthur R. Whittaker of Kaysville, Utah who is Rodney's cousin and who supplied many books & articles on his Whittaker family of Circleville.
