John Higginbotham (1695-ca. 1743) was born in the Parish of St. Philip, Barbados, son of Charles and Ann Higginbotham. He immigrated to Boston, Massachusetts, in 1716 and later migrated to Virginia. He and his wife, Frances Riley, had seven children. Descendants lived in Virginia and elsewhere.
