Résumé du livre
The second edition of this highly successful introductory text confronts broad psychoogical issues basic to the field while dealing in detail with specific issues of current interest, such as day care and early childhood intervention programs. The book is divided into two parts: the first offers an overview of theory and research in fundamental areas, including mechanisms of influence, gender identity, individuation, and aggression; the second part contains a selection of recent publications covering many of the same subjects in greater depth. The two parts are carefully balanced, and each enlightens and informs the other.
